"Assassin's Creed Shadows": Ubisoft Promises Copies in the Wild Are Not the Final Game

For the past 24 hours, social networks have been abuzz: several copies of Assassin's Creed Shadows are already out in the wild . While the reason for this availability well ahead of the release date - scheduled for March 20 - is not explained, several players have been able to indulge in this new adventure that will take place in Japan.
Ubisoft was therefore forced to communicate, explaining that it was "aware" of the matter, and explaining that the game was not yet quite ready less than a month before its release.
"The development team is still working on patches to prepare for launch and any images shared online do not represent the final quality of the game," Ubisoft explains.
Regretting this leak but not denying the "impatience" of players, the French publisher asks those who already have an example of the title not to share information about the plot. If you want to avoid spoilers, it is appropriate to add Assassin's Creed Shadows to the list of terms invisible on X.
According to information gathered by Tech&Co, several resellers have already received copies of the game. This could be a supplier error. Assassin's Creed Shadows was originally supposed to be released on February 14th.
This episode is all the more anticipated as it takes place in a universe long requested by fans of the saga. For Ubisoft, it is also a question of getting back on track after several financially complicated months.
